Old Grayton Presence is a short stroll to the beach, shops and dining in the laid back village. Accommodations were on point from arrival until we reluctantly checked out. The five of us (including two teens) were never cramped, lacking any amenity or bored in the two-bedroom, two-bath cottage whose lagniappes include front and back porches with comfy seating and swings. The outdoor shower is amazingly refreshing after a day in the sun (we used it more than the indoor showers). The cottage is on a main street, but you feel secluded in the lush greenery as the heady smell of Jasmine relaxes you into beach life. I commend the attention to detail down to the cozy interior décor and modern appliances plus exterior BBQ grill, beach cart and two bicycles that encouraged exploration of Grayton Beach State Park and the beach towns along the 30A bike path. Sunset on Grayton Beach is magical; we saw 5 stingrays, starfish, and more crabs than we could count. While there are McMansions springing up around the perimeter, I commend the community for maintaining the quaint cottages and old Florida charm. The only complaint I have about Old Grayton Presence is that I had to leave.

After two plane rides, arriving at this quaint beach cottage was a welcome respite from hectic, everyday life. The rooms were airy and open, the beds comfy, the backyard warm and sunny for morning coffee, loved having a coffee grinder as I brought fresh beans from home, outdoor shower was awesome, beach chairs were great – loved the backpack feel – made it so easy to walk to the beach, privacy of the cottage was appreciated, loved the decor and best of all – the location was great! Was minutes away from the beautiful , white sandy beach and turquoise water of Grayton and so close to the Red Bar and other local shops. We loved the fact that as we explored Grayton and surrounding beach communities, we never drove more than 20 minutes! What a relaxing beach getaway… this ocean girl from snowy Minnesota can hardly wait to come back 🙂
